Innovation Uptake Workshop November 2023

Last year’s edition of the Innovation Uptake Workshop took place during the Battery Innovation Days, and included two roundtable workshops, designed to help participants gain a better understanding of the challenges of new battery innovations on the road to upscaling and reaching the market.

The speakers and the audience explored the paths to success which would allow future innovations to better flourish in Europe and lead us to a sustainable and competitive battery value chain. During the first roundtable discussion, key private and public financial stakeholders shared their expertise and knowledge on what makes a successful and appealing innovative battery technology, and how to drive it from the lab to larger scales. In the second session, researchers, project representatives, and start-ups to had the chance to discuss success stories and challenges of existing and past projects, as well as how they overcame the hurdles in their way.
