You can join BEPA by completing the application form via EUsurvey. Once this is
completed, the application will be reviewed by the Executive Board in its next
meeting. Once approved, you will have all rights and responsibilities associated with
membership. The secretariat with then contact you for the final steps, and an invoice
will be sent in the following weeks.
The best way to get involved in BEPA’s activities is to join the Working Groups and Task Forces. You may have up to 3 representatives per organisation in each working group. BEPA also organises 2 General Assemblies and several other events throughout the year, which are great opportunities to network with other members.
There are 6 working groups in total, covering different sectors of the battery value chain. Each working groups is supported by a member of the BEPA secretariat and governed by a 3-person Core Team of member elected representatives. Working Groups generally meet once per month, for 1 to 2 hours, though this could change depending on the workflow. The main task of the working groups is to identify and elaborate on research priorities for the European battery industry to be included as calls for funding under Horizon Europe.
You can join a working group by completing the registration form via EUsurvey. In the registration, form simply fill in some information and select which working group(s) you are interested to join. The BEPA secretariat monitors registrations regularly, and you will soon be added to the member list and Sharepoint for the Working Group. Please note that each organization may have up to 3 representatives per working group. You must be a BEPA member to join the working groups.
Most Task Forces are organised by Batteries Europe, so to join a task force, you must
simply register for the Task Force on the Batteries Europe website. There are
currently 7 Task Forces covering transversal and non-technical topics related to the

Membership is subject to the payment of an annual membership fee, which is dependent on the category and size of your company. The chart can be found on the membership page. The fee for the first year of membership depends on when you join the association, therefore you will only pay for the months in which you have membership. Please also note the first invoice also includes a one-time capital contribution fee, of 10% of the annual fee.
If you wish to resign from BEPA, please send an email to the BEPA secretariat declaring your intent to resign, and reasons for leaving. Please note that this notice must be received by 1 July for membership to end in the current year. Resignation notices received after this date will then count only for the following year.
