2022 saw several accomplishments for the association, and continued growth in membership. The BEPA working groups finalised the Horizon Europe Work Programme 2023-24, the second WP to be developed by the BATT4EU partnership, and the first developed by the full working groups.
The summer of 2022 brought some changes to the BEPA working group structure, as they were joined together with ETIP Batteries Europe working groups, in order to work together on a joint Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda.
BEPA signed collaboration agreements with 2ZERO and ZEWT both, and held its first workshop with 2ZERO and the JRC. The BEPA Office met with coordinators of ongoing battery projects to begin its monitoring and reporting activities. Finally, the Battery Innovation Days had its 2nd annual meeting, and the first physical meeting in Brussels, with hundreds of attendees and dozens of speakers.
Highlighting a successful year for BEPA, membership continued to grow, surpassing 200 members after confirmation at the 5th General Assembly in December 2022.
